Nation's largest private prison company is shifting its focus toward helping release more inmates and keep them out, in an effort to reduce costs associated with recidivism.
The U.S Justice System uses imprisonment as a primary form of punishment for crimes committed, leaving little opportunity for prisoner betterment while institutionalized. This blog looks at varying opinions and options as to how sentences could be served. How might it be beneficial, for inmates and society in general, for prisoners to receive rehabilitative sentences including education in the attempt to achieve positive trends of recidivism reduction once being socially reintegrated?
